Saving Files to a CD-R

Due to formatting issues, we recommend using only CD-R on Library computers. CD-RW disks require formatting before use and are only readable by computers with compatible software. Some older computers will not be able to access files saved on CD-RW disks
.

Saving to a New CD-R

o       Save your file TEMPORARILY to the desktop

o       This step is not necessary for files you are copying from a floppy or ZIP disk

o       Insert the new CD-R disk in the drive

o       In the “General” folder, double click on “CD Burner”

o       If the upgrade message appears, click “OK”

o       The “Select a Project” screen should now appear
