someone will be available to answer this question using the National
Library of Medicine's DOCLINE system, or other interlibrary loan tools.

Databases
Q. What is the difference between Medline, Ovid and, PubMed?
A. Medline is a huge database of over 15 million references to biomedical articles published in more than 5,000 current journals from the United States and over 80 foreign countries. Medline is produced by the National Library of Medicine (NLM). PubMed is NLM's publicly available search interface to the Medline database. NLM also allows companies to mount Medline records on their own proprietary search interface. Ovid Technologies is one of such company.
Q. How do I search
a particular database?
A. Most databases offer help on searching. Look for a "Help" link usually located on a databases main search page. Help is available from within Ovid by clicking "Help" located at the top, right of the screen. Additional self-teaching resources for databases are available through the University Libraries' Tutorials website, or ask a librarian for assistance. Appointments for group or individual database instruction can also be scheduled.
Q. How do I print
out selected citations from Ovid?
A. Use the Citation Manager found at the bottom of any Ovid
Main Search or Title Display screens to select and display, print, save,
or email selected citations.
Q. All I'm finding is a citation... where is the complete article?
A. All article citations located in the course of your research will not be available in full text online, although there is a great deal of full text available through our databases. Use the FindIT@UMDNJ button to see if the article is available online. You may also search the library catalog to see if the journal is available in print. Please see Document Delivery Services, below, for additional information. (It is important to note that by limiting to Ovid full-text you will miss hundreds of full-text articles available through UMDNJ.)
Q. How do I print the Ovid full text article?
A. Use Ovid's Print Preview feature from the full text link to reformat
your article. Options for .pdf format may be available, either from
the Ovid Full Text display page, or an Open Links link.
Q. How can I
access Up-to-Date?
A. The University Libraries does not hold a subscription
to the online version of this product. Users may access this
resource at the Health Sciences Library at Stratford, where it is available
on one computer in the Reference Area.
Q. How do I get
into MD Consult?
A. Users may access MD Consult by clicking 'Open Generic Account',
or by having a personal account. Personal accounts allow access to more
features and are available only to currently affiliated UMDNJ students,
staff or faculty. Registration for a new personal account must
be from on campus on a computer on the UMDNJ network. After
registration, a personal account may be used off-site. A link to MD
Consult from the Library's Databases
webpage provides access from the Library.
Q. How do I search
a particular journal in Ovid? In MD Consult?
A. Click the "Journals " icon in the Ovid toolbar to incorporate one or more journal titles into your overall search strategy. In MD Consult click on the "Journals" tab and add the name of the journal in the box on the left hand side of the screen.
