Loansome Doc Fact Sheet for UMDNJ Affiliated Users

Loansome Doc is a method of ordering documents for PubMed users. When you register for Loansome Doc, the system stores your complete name, address, telephone number, fax number, and preferred method of delivery. You must register before you can order articles within PubMed.

Registration
Before you register online for Loansome Doc, you must first establish an agreement with one of the four UMDNJ campus libraries. This will be your "ordering library." For more information please contact your campus library.

Loansome Doc Process
Once you have registered, you will be able to request articles during a PubMed search. Your ordering library will process the requests according to your Lonsome Doc profile. If the ordering library fills the request from its own collection, you should receive the article within two to three business days. If the request is forwarded to another library, it may take a week or more for your article to arrive.

Loansome Doc is not intended for rush requests.
