Faculty and staff of the Department of Medicine are committed to delivering the highest quality care to the residents that we serve in southern New Jersey. Rooted in its mission of excellence in service to our patients, the faculty are committed to advancing health care in our community.

There are twenty six full-time faculty working to fulfill the department's mission in the fields of general internal medicine, cardiology, rheumatology, oncology, hematology, pulmonary and critical care medicine and gastroenterology. As physicians who are committed to training of other physicians in general and specialty medicine, our patients can be assured that our faculty are delivering state-of-the-art care with cutting edge interventions.

The Department of Medicine has a long tradition of excellence in education. Many of its faculty are recipients of prestigious teaching awards such as the schools Golden Apple Award, the UMDNJ's Foundation's Excellence in Teaching Award and several faculty are included amongst UMDNJ's Master Educators. It's Internal Medicine Residency Program, along with its federally recognized primary care tract, has been responsible for training some of the nations finest internists.
