Doctor of Philosophy
The academic program for Ph.D. students features
two years of general and specialized course work
followed by a period of intensive research in an
area selected by the student and his/her faculty
mentor. The program features a combination of required
and elective courses. All students are required
to take a graduate-level course in biochemistry
and molecular biology. Students also receive training
in preparation and presentation of seminars. Most
courses are specifically tailored for Ph.D. students. A full description of academic programs,

The successful Ph.D. candidate can expect to receive a stipend of at least $24,000/year, tuition remission and paid health insurance.
